Hey Jim!

Yes we were on board on the monday! 3 of us fairly young lads, one yeti asr, one orange 5 and one commencal meta 4.

Our week went well thanks! Well considering the weather!

Got a bit caught out on day one riding from Fort Bill to Oban via the west highland way... we ended up riding 108km in 12 hours! Oops. It all went wrong at the northern end of Loch Etive where we completely lost the path... well we didn't loose it, it just ended! So had to carry our kit about a mile or so through some pretty boggy stuff before we found the old drovers track and then later the forest fire road! Safe to say the chippy in Oban got absolutely abused!

Because we were such wrecks the next day from that, and it was raining we pretty mch stuck to the road on mull as far as Salen where we took the cycle path through the forest by Loch Frisa. Sadly no Eagle sightings but we did get a Heron.

Best beers of entire week in my opinion in Mcgogans (?) sorry for the spelling! Mull brewery gets the thumbs up! : ) One of our group has a friend who is partner to one of the Mackay girls (i beleive their dad owns the garage?) so they were great hosts and we saw the night out in the mishnish. The hostel was great too!

From leaving you on the ferry we had a nice day on the road up to Mallaig in the sunshine which was very pleasant. Although now i know why eveyone says just pass through Mallaig! Nowt happening there at all! : (

Skye was great riding with some great technical stuff near our bunk house at Scligagan (again poor spelling!) although it was rather damp there! :(

Took the train back to FB from Mallaig on the friday and hit up the world cup downhill course on my birthday. Showed some of those DH boys on big bikes how to do it in style! : )

Thanks very much again for all your help guys! Shame we didn't quite do as much off road on mull as we had envisaged but Tob was lovely and probably the best night out we had! Shall definately need to get myself a pallet of that mull ale!

We had an absolutely cracking time in Tob!
