Me and my mate are tagging along on a family holiday to Mull for a week in August, and are wondering if you guys have any nice downhill for us to ride

We will be spending a few days in Fort William on the World Cup track before we take the ferry over to Mull, is there anything along those lines to be found on the island?

Weve looked at riding down Ben More which looks sufficiently rocky and steep, and even more appealing in that people talk about how they struggle to walk up it , is Ben More possible to ride down (given we are both riding full on downhill bikes and have plenty of experience)?

Ben More certainly rideable but don't envy you hauling downhill bikes up there! LochAline on the mainland has a reasonable length of techyish downhill at GlenSavary. Where you staying on Mull?

Near Treshnish Point/Haunn, staying in a holiday cottage there, most days we'll be able to get ourselves lifts around the island though

Wee bit of downhill near where you are. Down to shore past cottages at Treshnish and also larachmor down old path to shore. Craignure TV mast road south of ferry. Be a fair slog up but good craic comin down though only last about 5/6mins for about 1 1/2 hr getting up. North of Craignure before hotel entrance on left forest trail goes up the hill and down in a loop with bit of techy downhill.

Go and ask for Tom at the Dovecote resturant at Calgary. He has North shore trails at his house.

found the little track down to the beach from treshnish, was pretty fun to ride, nice and fast, looked at some potential hucks off a little cliff by the bay then decided we were being daft

yeah we saw you in calgary tom, but we didnt see any of your trails until the last couple of days and then we didnt get a chance to go looking for you after that had plenty of fun on calgary beach though, you live in a nice spot mate

wanted to ride ben more but after our 2 hour drive to Iona we decided not to go down the south end of the island again, your roads are crazy guys, I thought our roads in sheffield were bad!

will definately come back to mull some time, very nice place indeed but a little hard to get around
